The Zoom video call software will reach Tesla models, as announced by the technology company itself.
Zoom has revealed that it is working with Tesla to bring video conferencing software to the integrated “infotainment center” from the American manufacturer of electric vehicles.
Since the start of the pandemic, Zoom has become one of the communication software between peopleboth at the private and company level, More popular.
This video conferencing service is in the process of updating and, as announced, will soon receive new featuressuch as direct access, within the application, to email and calendar services, and an artificial intelligence chatbot for problem solving.
It is unknown if it will only work with the car stationary
However, the great novelty of this company is associated with its future collaboration with Tesla. In fact, it has been the software company itself that has revealed that its technology will soon be available for Tesla vehicles.
It is not the first time that this association has been rumored, it was already discussed during the pandemic, although at that time a Zoom spokesperson pointed out that would not be the “safest use case”.
This agreement is striking if we take into account that Elon Musk, founder and CEO of Tesla, banned SpaceX employeesyour company dedicated to the manufacture of aerospace and space transportation services, the use of Zoom in 2020 after the company found itself at the center of several security scandals.
Well it is true that since then Zoom has drastically improved its technical partincluding the proper deployment of end-to-end encryption for calls.
Toyota remains the most valuable brand and Tesla the one that rises the most
Now what you have to take into account is whether the possibility of making video conferences from a moving vehicle is a good idea to improve the driver safety and concentration on the road.
Other automakers that make vehicles compatible with video conferencing tools like Zoom insist that the car must be stopped before you can use the functions. For now, neither Tesla nor Zoom have confirmed or denied how this software will run on the electric vehicle manufacturer’s models.
