The Stellantis Group, made up of a variety of brands such as FIAT, Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Maserati, Abarth, Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge, RAM, Peugeot, Citroën, DS, Opel and Vauxhall, (now I dare you to close your eyes and repeat them all from memory) is taking the transition to electromobility very seriously. Such is so the Group announced the creation of a plant dedicated to manufacturing electric vehicles.
These vehicles belong to the large category, since in that factory, located in Cassino in Lazio, Italy, Work will be done on the STA Large platform, dedicated to large electric vehicles and which, among other things, promises to house a battery pack sufficient for up to 800 km of autonomy.
Until now, models of premium brands such as Alfa Romeo and Maserati were manufactured in that plant, and although we know that now it will also focus on the aforementioned platform, Since Stellantis, it has not yet been detailed which brands and models will use it.

The STLA Large platform is one of the four platforms on which the group bases its Dare Forward 2030 strategy, which aims to increase the share of electric cars sold in Europe to reach complete zero emissions on the continent by 2038. The other three architectures are STLA Small, Medium and Frame (independent chassis).
The Cassino plant will be the second Stellantis facility to produce vehicles based on the STLA Large platformadding to the assembly plant that also works on this platform and is located in Windsor, Canada.
