According to the CEO of Cupra, Wayne Griffiths, the land of muscle cars would be a propitious place to continue expanding as it is a “highly desired” firm.

Since Cupra became independent from Seat four years ago, there is nothing but good news for her. The former sports brand and now an independent manufacturer of proven success has surprised locals and strangers with completely skyrocketing registration fees. The arrival of the Formentor has been a complete success, as has the establishment of electric mobility with El Born. A condition that is likely to continue to increase, as confirmed by Wayne Griffiths himself, president of both companies, by assuring that is studying the opportunity for Cupra to make the leap to the United States (USA).

According to Griffiths, this possibility would be effective since “Cupra is a very desirable brand in that market”. In this sense, the manager stressed that Spain should feel proud that Cupra is a national brand and that its models are designed and manufactured in the country because, in his opinion, they are among the best cars in the world. In fact, the CEO has continued to stick out his chest by confirming that the best products of the Volkswagen Group “come out of Cupra” which has allowed him sell almost 250,000 units since its inception four years ago.

A success that has done nothing but overshadow to a large extent the course of what was its parent brand: Seat. According to Griffiths himself “Seat has to transform if it wants to be the brand of the future” although currently it continues to be “very successful among young people”. In the same way, it has confirmed that although it is currently the only brand of the German group that does not have a 100% electric model in its product portfolio, “the next Seat models will also be electric”, although the choice now is that through Seat finances the investment in the electrification of Cupra models.
