A quirky Plymouth Barracuda, one of the least recognized muscle cars in Europe, in a striking pink color has come up for auction.
The Plymouth Barracuda is one of the least known “muscle cars” in our countrywhere the Ford Mustang or the Chevrolet Camaro are more popular.
However, this car was fairly well accepted in the United Stateswhen it was launched in the mid-1960s by Plymouth, which was owned by Chrysler.
This Barracuda is pink, but there were orange and purple versions

Now a very rare 1970 Plymouth Barracuda is going up for auction by Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas (United States) and its great peculiarity is the color of its body, which is painted in a pink baptized as “Moulin Rouge”.
But it is not an isolated example. It was one of the 255 units that left the factory decorated with that tone on its bodywork. out of a total of 50,000 Barracudas that were built in 1970.
And it is that this second generation of the Plymouth Barracuda opted to launch with some “high impact” colors such as “vitamin C” (a striking orange), violet or the aforementioned “Moulin Rouge” pink.
Along with this unusual color, which is combined with a black vinyl roof, it equips a 340 cubic inch V8 engine and automatic transmissiona configuration that was not common at the time of its commercialization and that makes it more attractive, if possible, to collectors.

It also has, among others, standard air conditioning, power steering, high power brakes, fog lights, hood pins, 8 track stereo, along with front and rear spoilers and louvers over the rear window. In addition, this car mounts its original wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich radial tires, original spare tire and jack.
