The Abarth 500e Scorpionissima is an exclusive special version with which the marketing of the Abarth 500e, the firm’s first electric car, begins. Available with the 3-door and convertible body, it stands out for its complete equipment and for how striking it is, as it can be chosen in green Acid or blue poison. Of course, it is not cheap at all, since it has a price of 43,000 euros.
Part of that bulky fee is due to the exclusivity of the product, since they are only going to be manufactured 1,949 units of the Abarth 500e Scorpionissima (a figure that coincides with the birth of Abarth as a brand).
The car is equipped to the maximum. It has 18-inch diamond-cut titanium gray alloy wheels, tinted rear windows or fixed glass roof. Inside we find steel sports pedals, a titanium gray dashboard rim, steel door sill trims with the Abarth inscription or the sports seats in Alcantara, which are engraved with the scorpion in Acid green laser-engraved. There are Alcantara sconces on the dashboard or the three-spoke steering wheel.
Inside the new Abarth 500e Scorpionissima we find a closed central tunnel, heated front seats (the driver’s seat is also height adjustable), a 7-inch digital instrument panel, a 10.25-inch touch screen that includes a browser, a rear view camera , Audi JBL system, compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and the Performance Pageswhere the driver can follow the performance of the car).
There is also no lack of air conditioning, automatic lights, electrochromic interior mirror, wireless charger and driving aids such as information on traffic signs, emergency braking with recognition of pedestrians and cyclists, intelligent speed assistant, lane keeping, driver fatigue detector , cruise control, blind spot detection, emergency call…
In the mechanical section there are no surprises: it mounts the electric motor of 155 CV and 235 Nm of torque, with which it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7 seconds. It is associated with a lithium ion battery of 42 kWh capacity that give it 250 km of autonomy. It admits recharges in alternating current of up to 11 kW) and in direct current up to 85 kW. The same one that equipped the Fiat 500e that we tested, but that there approved 330 km of autonomy.
