Audi in partnership with Fantic, launches a new electric bicycle,

In synergy with the Audi RS Q e-tron Dakar, the house with the four rings has just launched an electric mountain bike. This two-wheeler joins a large group of bicycles that have electrical assistance to go out and have fun.

Among them we remember those launched by GMC just at the arrival of the Hummer EV. Polestar also announced its partnership with Allubike, while Porsche already has its own, obviously alienated from the Taycan. Now it’s the turn of Audi, who in partnership with the Fantic firm, will develop this two-wheeled electric mountain bike.

To bring this adventurous bike to life, Fantic will employ an electric motor capable of generating up to 6 pound-feet of torque, all atop a carbon-fiber-reinforced aluminum frame. These are some of its specifications:

  • Brose S-MAG electric motor
  • 350 watts
  • Battery: 36 volts (720 Wh)
  • Mavic E-DEEMAX rims
  • Vittoria wheels 27.5” back and 29” forward
  • Suspension Travel: 180mm

For all those who know about bicycles, Fantic may sound familiar, and even, you will see a lot of the electric model XEF 1.9 Factory, in the model developed for Audi. What we are not sure is whether this justifies the nearly $10,000 it will cost, especially when you don’t have a specific name by which to identify it. Whatever it is, I would like it to go on an adventure with my dog.

Where would you go to test the new Audi electric bicycle?
