BMW Group Mexico and Evergo formalized their strategic alliance which aims to strengthen the public charging network for electrified vehicles in our country. For this, an investment of 200 million dollars will be allocated, which will allow it to install up to four thousand chargers in the country in the next four years.
This agreement will allow users of electrified cars from bmw Y MINIas well as motorcycles of bmw motorrad have access to the new Evergo charging points, which are distinguished by their ability to simultaneously charge up to 5 vehicles.
These new stations, which will first be inaugurated in the cities with the largest fleet of electrified cars, have a capacity of 50 to 350 kW for fast charging and up to 19 kW for semi-fast charging. It is worth mentioning that the chargers that BMW had in the Puebla-San Luis Potosí corridor will be transformed to this new concept.
Within the framework of this alliance, Evergo and BMW carried out the inauguration of the “hub” of Mexico’s largest public charge which is located inside the Centro Comercial Metrópoli Patriotismo in Mexico City. It is made up of 3 DC chargers of 50 kW-300 kW of power and 6 AC chargers of 19 kW, both with universal access.
It should be noted that Evergo is not an exclusive BMW service, since any user of an electrified car can use its stations. For this, it is necessary to download an application available in the App Store and Google Play with which it is possible to consult the nearest networks, plan routes, pay, among other things.
