Ferrari They surprised everyone last season by becoming the best team of 2022, but their evolution stalled and Red Bull vastly outperformed them. Their hope in 2023 was to return to that privileged position that they lost, although the reality is that they went even further down.

With the summer break just around the corner and half the season almost complete, Ferrari has said enough. Frederic Vasseurhead of the Ferrari team, has admitted that they will not bring great improvements in the remainder of the season.
“The biggest limiting factor right now is the spending limit. For that reason, you can’t create a completely new project within the same season. It could have been done a few years ago, but now thinking about that possibility is already impossible”, he explained in some statements collected by ‘Motorsport’.
Despite these budget limitations, Vasseur affirms that the improvements that have already been implemented in the car have gone in the right direction: “Ultimately, we have to adapt the project that already exists and I really believe that we have taken important steps so far this year“.
This resignation to continue developing the car for this season implies at the same time that Ferrari is already focused on 2024: “I can say that We are already working and focused on next year’s project as a team and we’re trying really hard to make great progress.”
