Netflix has set a date for the third season of ‘The Witcher’ and, as it has done with other titles, the premiere is divided into two installments. The first arrives on June 29 with the first five episodes and almost a month later, on July 27, the last three premiere.
The first and disturbing advance shows the protagonist Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill) facing “true fear” as he himself says. The video teases that “everything is going to change” in the third season and the change begins with the leading actor who announced a few months ago that he was leaving the series. His replacement will be Liam Hemsworth and we will have to see how the change of actor is reflected, if it does.
In the images, the three main protagonists Geralt (Henry Cavill), Ciri (Freya Allan) and Jennefer (Anya Chalotra) are seen in a Anguishing search that anticipates the events of the third season. The synopsis tells that monarchs, wizards and beasts will compete to capture Ciri while Geralt will fight to hide her, determined to protect her new family from her threats.
The one in charge of training Ciri’s magic, Yennefer will take you to the protected fortress of Aretuza to discover more about the great magical power of the young woman.. The discovery will not be as expected and they will find themselves in a great battle of political corruption, black magic and betrayal. They must fight to the limit or risk losing everything forever.
The third season of ‘The Witcher’ features Henry Cavill (Geralt of Rivia), Anya Chalotra (Yennefer of Vengerberg), Freya Allan (Princess Cirilla of Cintra), Joey Batey (Jaskier), Myanna Buring (Tissaia), Eamon Farren ( Cahir) and Mimî M Khayisa (Fringilla) among many others.
