“I don’t care what happens to Alpine anymore”: that’s how blunt it is shown Fernando Alonso in the absence of the Grand Prix of Brazil Y Abu Dhabi to end this season Formula 1… and give way to your new journey in Aston Martin.
In statements collected by ‘GPFans’, the Asturian driver, asked if he is counting the days to move to the Silverstone garage, is clear and direct: “Yes, 100 percent.”
The two-time F1 world champion, after the umpteenth failure of Alpine and his ‘KO’ in Mexico, he can’t wait to close his stage with those from Enstone.
“I just go out, drive as fast as I can, go to Abu Dhabi, I celebrate with the team our last race and I return home“, he points out.
Alonso’s frustration and impotence comes after, according to him, his best races this year: “I felt very slow in qualifying, and in the race, I felt very fast. As I said, Austin and here I was doing, I think, my best races.
“My level is the highest of the season and the results and ranking at the end of the year will be among the lowest. It’s a bit frustrating, but there’s nothing I can do.”says Ferdinand.
The man from Oviedo has two pending accounts before exchanging the blue suit for the green one: first, to help in the Constructors’ ‘battle’ against McLaren; then try to overtake Esteban Ocon in the private ‘war’ held by the two teammates.
