The Italdesign Climb-E allows you to travel from home to the workplace, without ever having to change means of transport.

Italdesign has accustomed us to surprising mobility projects. This Climb-E is no exception. Developed in collaboration with Schindler and the Turin Polytechnic, a innovative vehicle with autonomous driving capable of offering a series of services at home; in the future, this vehicle will also be adapted to historical buildings and architectural heritage.

The Italdesign Climb-E offers the possibility of moving, starting directly from home or from the workplace, without ever having to change means of transport, all with maximum comfort and with the total elimination of possible architectural barriers.

We are, thus, before a modular means of transport made up of a Symmetrical capsule 3.97 meters longdesigned to carry up to four passengers.

The mode of operation is simple: the Italdesign Climb-E Concept can rise to the floor you live on or to eliminate any type of architectural barrier, pick you up and transport you to your destination without having to take the elevator or stairs.

Once the capsule arrives at its destination, it is picked up via an app and inserted directly into the ground using the elevator system developed by Schindler.

The platform, once unhooked from the pod, can be made available for other users to reserve and thus independently return to the parking and charging stations and become available for future use. And it is that the , the Italdesign Climb-E has a double function: as transport or extension of home and office.

The Italdesign prototype has four directional wheels and mounts an engine inside with a power of 109 CV, which allows it to reach a maximum speed of 120 km/h and 322 kilometers of autonomy thanks to 65 kWh batteries that go on the platform floor. It supports loads up to 250 kW, so it could go from 10 to 80 percent in 15 minutes.
