The differences in the speeches of Antonio Lobato Looking ahead to the 2022 and 2023 seasons, they denote that the circumstances have changed and therefore the objectives of Fernando Alonso.
If last season with Alpinethe narrator of Formula 1 assured that the two-time world champion was not going to fight for victories, now Lobato changes his mind after presenting the AMR23.
Speaking to ‘DAZN’, the journalist is cautious until we see the cars on the track this week for the tests and next weekend from March 3 to 5 at the Bahrain Grand Prix.
“It’s hard to say right now because we still haven’t tested the cars on the track. This week we have the only three days of testing in Bahrain and we’re going to start seeing a picture, still out of focusof what can happen”, he explains.
But is it realistic to think that Alonso can win again? Lobato thinks so: “People here asked me about 33, what it generates is incredible. They ask me a lot more because perhaps it has been around for many more years, it has given us much more joy and I don’t know if 33 is going to arrive, but he is going to fight for 33″.
“I think the leap that Aston Martin is going to take is going to be big this year. Not to fight for the World CupObviously, but if he can be in the fight with Alpine and McLaren, that’s great. It is ‘The Plan’, ‘The Mission’, now ’33’…”, adds the Formula 1 narrator.
This Thursday will be the first day of the three days of pre-season tests that will be held in Bahrain. In two weeks the F1 World Cup starts… and the illusion with Fernando Alonso is through the roof.
