There are four section radars that Madrid has. We tell you its location to avoid unwanted fines.
The section radars are those that measure the average speed between two points and penalize those vehicles that exceed it with fines ranging from 100 to 600 euros depending on the excess speed they detect.
The authorities have opted in recent years to bet on this type of cinemometer, which they consider more reliable and, perhaps, fairer when it comes to controlling the speed of cars. Compared to fixed speed cameras, the driver is prevented from braking right in front of the speed camera and then continuing to maintain a high speed: at least ifand requires driving below the maximum speed limit between the entrance and exit of the section.
Between 100 and 600 euros fine
The Community of Madrid also has this type of radar installed. Exactly, there are four that are active at the moment. Thus, we find one on the M-30, between Ventas and Costa Rica; on the M-14, between the Adolfo Suárez Madrid and Barajas airport terminals; on the A-3, between the M-40 and Rivas Vaciamadrid; and on the A-2, between the CEA bridge and Canillejas.The Madrid City Council, at the same time, has opted to install radars at certain traffic lights in the capital to identify the license plates of the cars that skip them in amber or red. The fine for this offense amounts to 240 euros and involves the withdrawal of four points from the driver’s license.
