Marc Márquez decides not to race at the German Grand Prix after his fifth crash in just three days

Marc Márquez throws in the towel. Cervera’s pilot has decided not to participate in the main race of the German Grand Prix Due to the fissure that he has suffered in his left hand after falling this morning in the ‘warm up’.

The Catalan already suffered a fall in free practice on Friday and three in qualifying. This Sunday’s accident was the straw that broke the camel’s back, and has meant that, despite having a medical clearance, do not take the exit at Sachsenring.

“Marc Márquez has decided not to run the German Grand Prix after suffering an accident in turn 7 during the ‘warm up’ this morning”, announced the Honda team in a statement released through their social networks.

Márquez has made this decision after undergoing a medical check-up in which he has been diagnosed with a cleft thumb of his left hand and a right ankle bruise.
