Marc Márquez He wants to compete in MotoGP again in a big way. He is not satisfied with being on the grid, he wants to go back to fighting for victories like he did in the past. Winning another championship is his obsession and he has made it known to his team, Repsol Honda.
At an event in Barcelona, the eight-time motorcycling champion revealed the conversation he had with the team after the poor pre-season tests in which he was very disappointed.
“The thing you’ve honestly asked most of them is a competitive bikeIt doesn’t matter to me how, if the bike in front is behind or the one behind is in front, I want a competitive bike”, said the man from Cervera in statements published by ‘Mundo Deportivo’.
And he assures that it will not be for him: “I for my part I will try to do my best to be competitive which is my job and my passion. My dream is to fight again for a world championship with Honda, and I think that since I came back from the injury, the last four races, we were on the right track to do it.”
Their trust is “maximum”: “They are working on the bike, I have full confidence in Honda and I see maximum involvement. When you demand things from someone and you see that they are involved, you cannot blame them for anything. I am happy with the work they are doing and now we will have to see the results on the track “.
“I demand of them and they demand of me, we are a team. The meetings have been constructive to create a new winning project that all the riders want to ride, to be competitive especially next year not only with a motorcycle but with the four Hondas that are on the grid”, he says about the brand, which last year was last in the world championship.
His objective is very clear and he has stated it that way: to be world champion again. “My goal is to go for the world cupI know that neither I nor Honda start as favourites, I have to work and Honda has to work, but we trust each other”, he details.
Finally, he spoke about the state of his right arm: “And with the arm we are working on a pspecific lan this December to restructure this arm, which I did the recovery practically on the bike, and on the one hand it’s good, but on the other there are certain decompensations, but we already knew that and now we have strengthened the weak muscles and I think it will be fine”.
