Perseverance made its first test drive on Mars. NASA engineers said the ride was very successful. 
The American National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) made the first test drive of the Mars rover Perseverance on the Red Planet, in a statement on Friday. 
It was stated that the first test drive was carried out successfully, with a distance of 5.6 meters in 33 minutes. After 4 meters of advance, after a 150 degree left turn, it was said that the announced vehicle made another 2.5 meters of movement, leaving tire tracks. 
Anais Zarifian, one of NASA engineers, made important statements about the first drive of the reconnaissance vehicle: 
“This was our first experience. It went unbelievably well. This is a major milestone for our team and mission. We'll take longer rides, this is just the beginning. ” 
NASA engineers are investigating possible routes for longer rides. 
At the same time, it is stated that this vehicle is five times faster than the Curiosity exploration robot, which has been exploring Mars for 8 years. 
Robert Hogg, one of the directors of the Perseverance mission, announced that the engineers are preparing for its first flight with a helicopter drone carried by the reconnaissance vehicle. 
The flight in question is aimed to take place at the beginning of summer. Robert Hogg stated that the mission has not faced any major problems so far: “It was just small things, everything we tried worked just fine”. The "Perseverance" reconnaissance vehicle, launched from the world in July last year, is equipped with a two-meter long robotic arm, 19 cameras and two microphones. The rover had landed on Mars on February 18, and it is aimed for many years to research traces of possible microbial life on Mars. Perseverance is the fifth spacecraft to ship to Mars. Four other spacecraft were also sent by America. The last launched spacecraft "Curiosity" is still operating.
