As part of the mid-life upgrade of its compact models (A and B Classes), Mercedes-Benz presents the new CLAwhich will be offered with a coupe-type sedan body and shooting brake, and with more technological equipment than up to now.
This restyling covers the entire range, including the two AMG variants (35 and 45 S), maintaining a mechanical offer with electrified gasoline and diesel engines.

The model debuts a new front bumper and a redesigned grillwith the traditional pattern of stars, which gives it a looks sharper. The interior design of the headlights also changes, which also adds high-power LED technology as standard. At the rear, LED headlights are also added and a sportier defense is added, which even has a diffuser.
Indoors there are fewer aesthetic changesbut there are more technological innovations. For now, the CLA adopts the haptic controls seen in the C and S Classwith a new steering wheel and the disappearance of the ‘trackpad‘ Touch on the console, which is no longer necessary to operate the latest generation of the MBUX multimedia system, which updates its voice commands to make them more intuitive. It incorporated new coverings, both textiles (nappa leather) and decorative appliqués made of carbon fiber, piano black or wood.

As for the engines, the CLA maintains the previous offer turbodiesel, with proposals of 116 Hp (CLA 180d), 150 Hp (CLA 200d) and 190 Hp (CLA 220d), and increases the gasoline variants, which for some time have all had a 48v light hybrid system. The CLA 180 (136 Hp), CLA 200 (163 Hp), CLA 220 (190 Hp) and CLA 250 (224 Hp) will be available. The last two have 4Matic all-wheel drive.
The top-of-the-range version is the CLA 250e, a plug-in hybrid that offers a combined power of 218 Hp and offers a 100% electric range of between 68 and 82 kilometers.

As for the Mercedes-AMG, the two available versions, CLA 35 AMG and CLA 45 S AMG improve their performance and a 48v micro hybrid system is added for the smallest version, to offer 306 Hp of power. The most powerful variant has all-wheel drive and 421 HP of power. Both are mated to an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. We will talk about the latter in an exclusive note.
