7,300 euros will receive each of the nearly 93,000 Mercedes workers in Germany as a bonus for the good results of the brand.
Good news for Mercedes-Benz, more specifically for its employees. The German manufacturer has announced that it will grant them a record premium of 7,300 euros after a very successful year for the car brand.
«In recognition of these resultswe have agreed with the General Works Council to pay a special bonus of 7,300 euros this year,” said Sabine Kohleisen, Member of the Board of Management of Mercedes-Benz Group AG responsible for Human Resources.
There will be about 93,000 workers entitled to receive the aforementioned bonus in Germany and will receive it together with their April 2023 pay, as announced by the company.
The brand will spend about 679 million euros

This bonus is higher than the €6,000 received last year under the profit-sharing system and is also well above the previous maximum cap of €6,465. The payment of this participation in the results supposes a disbursement of around 679 million euros
“With the largest profit-sharing bonus in company history, we want to express our gratitude for the exceptional dedication and commitment staff from our colleagues”, added the head of Human Resources at Mercedes-Benz. Ergun Lümali, Chairman of the General Works Council of Mercedes-Benz Group AG, extended his thanks to the employees in a troubled and turbulent year such as 2022.

“In the last year, our colleagues have achieved a lot. In the end, they are the ones who give the best of themselves every day and give life to the company’s strategy«, Lümali pointed out. “With profit sharing at a record level, we want to give special thanks for the enormous flexibility and tireless commitment and allowing employees to properly participate in the success of the company.”
The profit sharing system of the company exists since 1997. This year, the management of Mercedes-Benz and the General Works Council will implement a new system for calculating the plan.
