The electrification within Stellantis is increasing and has also been improving over time. The proof of this is that the Citroën e-C4 and e-C4 X, which were introduced relatively recently, already offer an improvement to consider. To date, they were only available with an electric propulsion system, which was the one with which the brand began its journey. Now incorporate a more recent that is distinguished by greater power and improved autonomy for those who need an extra point
The 136 hp electric motor will continue to be available in access finishes. It will be ideal for those who want to spend a little less and who are satisfied with the 360 kilometers of autonomy offered by the 50 kWh battery that we already tested. Although the new option will be more interesting with its 156 hp and 260 Nm of torque that offers improved performance, always maintaining outstanding efficiency. The difference with respect to the other (besides its 20 more CV) is that it is a hybrid synchronous motor (HSM) and not permanent magnets.
This top-of-the-range version also benefits from the 54 kWh battery. It’s not much difference in capacity (+4 kWh), but it gains efficiency thanks to its new chemistry (80% nickel, 10% manganese and 10% cobalt) to achieve a higher energy density. To this we must add the liquid thermal regulation and a standard heat pump that increase the range. offers up 420 kilometers of autonomy power in the Citroën e-C4 and e-C4 X, 17% more than before.
They come with a 7.4 kW single-phase charger as standard, although an 11 kW three-phase charger is optional. On the other hand, they can be connected to quick direct current sockets to charge at speeds up to 100 kW, managing to go from 20 to 80% in 30 minutes. Both manage to standardize a lower consumption thanks also to the A+ certified tires to reduce rolling resistance and minimize energy loss through friction. These e-C4 and e-C4 X with Shine finish and the latest generation electric propulsion system open up a new range of possibilities for their customers.
