“Something is going to come to Canada, it will be a step”

Behind the Spanish Grand Prix in montmelothe darkest race for Fernando Alonso in this season of Formula 1 (before he had added five podiums in six races), the two-time world champion was forceful.

“This will be the last race without getting on the podium. It will not happen again”pointed out the Asturian, who also gave a preview of what is to come two weeks later in the Canadian Grand Prix of this weekend.

“I think in Canada we will see a completely different picture and I hope we can fight with the Red Bulls soon“, affirmed Alonso emphatically.

That different image lies in the drastic improvements that are planned Aston Martin for the appointment in Montreal.

“Biggest Update of the Year”of which he spoke martin whitmarsh, CEO of Aston Martin Technologies. And it is nothing more than a new soil… and some more surprises.

Mike Krackhead of the Silverstone team, has acknowledged in ‘Sky’ that Fernando was right in asking for new advances: “He is right when he asks and urges us to do it.”

In addition, the ‘main team’ has slipped that “something is coming to Canada”. “It will be a step”added the Luxembourger, triggering the illusion of a race in which Alonso started second in 2022 withan Alpine that was light-years ahead of Aston Martin’s current performance.
