Netflix has surprisingly announced the renewal of ‘Elite’ for an eighth season that will feature new faces at the Las Encinas school. Filming begins in August and incorporates new names into the cast such as Ane Rot (‘The Criminal Readers’ Club’) and Nuno Gallego, who makes the leap from the atresplayer series ‘UPA Next’. Besides, the plot features the return of Mina el Hammani in the role of Nadiawhich we did not see since the fourth installment.
El Hammani is not the first student to return, in fact season 7, which will premiere in October and which will have Maribel Verdú in the cast, will also feature the returns of Nadia al Saidi, who gave life to Sonia in season 6, and Omar Ayuso as Omar, whom we saw in the first five seasons of the series. The series has achieved the feat of becoming the longest-running series on the platform, quite an achievement considering that most titles do not exceed the second or third season and that the average is usually five installments.
Season 7 premieres in the fall
The announcement of the shooting of season 8 arrives before the premiere of the seventh installment announced for next October 20. At the moment, not much is known about the stories that will come with the new chapters, nor how the plot will continue after the final twist of the sixth season and the mysterious gun shot.
What we know is that it will have a renewed cast to which Maribel Verdú joinsin which there will also be the singer Anitta and in which we will see two former students like Sonia (Nadia al Saidi) and Omar (Omar Ayuso) again.
