The rise of Formula 1 in USA is notorious. Proof of this is the increase in audiences in the country, the arrival of a new driver on the grid (Logan Sargeant) and the presence of up to three Grands Prix on the calendar.
One of them is the Las Vegas Grand Prixwhich will return to the championship in 2023. Or at least that is the intention, since the FIA has yet to approve that the circuit is suitable to host a ‘Great Circus’ race, although this step is more bureaucratic than real.
The contract currently signed with Formula 1 is for three years., although both parties want to prolong their collaboration further. And the first step to extend that contract has just been taken by Clark Countyowner of some streets through which the circuit runs.
“We have a three-year contract, but We envision a partnership for life“, commented James Gibson, county commissioner, before the vote on the authorization so that it can be piloted through its streets.
The proposal was approved by an absolute majority and the Las Vegas Grand Prix can be held for the next 10 years, the period of time that Clark County has authorized.
