The Spanish Association of Collaborating Entities of the Administration in the Technical Inspection of Vehicles (AECA-ITV) has just updated the ITV rates in each autonomous community. That’s how they stay

As you know, the Technical Inspection of Vehicles (ITV) is a mandatory procedure for all those vehicles that are more than four years old, its frequency being biannual until they are 10 years old and, from then on, they will have an annual inspection. . The objective is none other than both the general condition of your vehicle, such as security elements, are in good condition to continue driving without endangering you, other road users or the environment. However, for many owners, this management is a headache, even more so when the vehicle is not in good condition. In others the financial amount to be paid for each inspection represents a hole despite the fact that in recent years succulent discounts have been established by the inspections themselves to attract drivers.

But, How much does it cost to pass the ITV? Well, it depends on the autonomous community.to the one in which you live but we already tell you that it will be somewhat more expensive than in 2022. And it is that according to what is included in Law 22 / 2021, of December 28, 2021, of General State Budgets for the year 2023, the prices of the inspections must be added the traffic rate, that ITVASA must collect, and that goes up to the 4.18 euros in the case of passenger cars. Logic should tell us that the price to pay for said inspection should be regulated at the national level, but each CCAA establishes its amounts with the exception of Catalonia which are maximum amounts.

However, the Spanish Association of Collaborating Entities of the Administration in the Technical Inspection of Vehicles AECA-ITV has just published the ITV rates for 2023 updated nationwide. As a note, say that only Andalusia, Aragon, Cantabria, Castilla y León, Galicia, the Basque Country and Navarra have regulated specific tariffs for electric cars and in fact in some their rate is lower since they have to carry out fewer tests (especially those of emissions and noise). However, those CCAAs that do not have a regulated rate for this type of car maintain the gasoline rate.

In another appendage to the margin would be both the Community of Madrid as the Region of Murcia because in both the regulation is outside the CCAA itself. In the case of the capital, the management of the ITV centers is private, that is, the service is liberalized while in Murcia their prices are also free competition. This causes that, according to a study carried out by Facua-Consumers, it was observed that the difference in prices could be up to 167% in gasoline engines and almost 100% in diesel engines. IN this way the ITV prices for each CCAA in 2023 are as follows:

Andalusia

Their rates have a 10% bonus if the inspection is presented before expiration, although if it is carried out one month after expiration, the price increases by 12%.
