It is only a matter of time before the electric cars that were born a long time ago are being updated to improve their performance. A clear example is that of Peugeot e-208 GT 2023 which is now available with a number of very important modifications. The small French electric has already had an update to slightly increase its autonomy with a couple of changes. However, now he steps forward to position himself as the most outstanding specimen of its segment in various aspects.
The first is that it changes the electric motor, since it uses the one that was introduced in the Peugeot e-308. That means you now have 156 hp and 260 Nm of torque, an improvement of 20 hp (15% more), which will affect its performance (still to be approved). Although probably even more significant is the addition of a 51 kWh lithium-ion battery (48.1 kWh useful) more efficient that works at 400 volts. That means greater autonomy and optimized charging times.
The new Peugeot e-208 GT promises 400 kilometers of electric autonomy, an increase of 38 kilometers (10.5% more) thanks to a consumption of just 12 kWh/km. It is positioned as the most outstanding of the segment in this aspect and it does also keeping the previous improvements. It should not be forgotten that the electric utility vehicle has a new, more efficient heat pump, mounts category “A+” tires and revised gear changes.
As for charging its 51 kWh battery, it can be done with the two types of chargers that this model offers. With the standard one, it accepts a single-phase load of up to 7.4 kW; while optionally the 11 kW triphasic can be added. In any case, the e-208 GT admits fast charges up to 100 kW to charge from 20 to 80% in just 25 minutes. It also maintains the usual driving modes (Eco, Normal and Sport), in addition to the Brake function to recover more energy by holding.
Enter your standard equipment, the Peugeot e-208 GT has Full LED headlights, 3D taillights, 17-inch wheels, a specific radiator grille, aluminum pedals, stainless steel door sills and an exclusive perforated leather steering wheel with the GT logo. The price for this top of the range version is €38,170 and already accepting orders.
