Toyota GR Supra GT4 100th Edition Tribute | Engine | Benefits

The Toyota GR Supra hit the market in 2019 and the update of this two-door coupe is already being prepared. It will do so by attracting a lot of attention, with a special edition, the Toyota GR Supra GT4 100th Edition Tribute. Only a hundred units will be manufactured for all of Europe and pays tribute to the presence of the coupé in the competition for customers.

It was at the beginning of 2023 when the 100 units produced of the GR Supra GT4, a racing car developed for customers, were reached. This new special version has exterior and interior innovations that emphasize this connection with motorsport.

This limited series of the GR Supra is offered with the new body color Orange Plasma, available exclusively. It also features 19-inch matte black lightweight alloy wheels, which reveal black brake calipers with GR branding. At the rear, the optional rear wing evokes a visual resemblance to the GR Supra GT4.

The interior of the Toyota GR Supra GT4 100th Edition Tribute features black suede-like seats for added durability. They match the gear lever and there are details in orange such as the stitching on the mat, matching the exterior paint of the vehicle. On the dashboard we see a carbon insert with the “GT4 100th Edition Tribute” graphic.

In the mechanical section, the Toyota GR Supra GT4 100th Edition Tribute is based on the GR Supra Lightweight from 3.0 liters and 340 PS (250 kW), mated to the six-speed manual transmission. This change uses an intelligent control system that prioritizes sporty behavior. Upshifting optimizes torque when engaging and disengaging, while downshifting offers better performance. For more acceleration, the final drive ratio is shorter, from 3.15 in the GR Supra automatic to 3.46.

In addition to the lower weight of the manual transmission, the sound equipment and seats were simplified. Thus, the vehicle weighs in total 38.3 kg less than the automatic version from the original 3.0-litre GR Supra. The suspension has also been tweaked, with stiffer vulcanized rubber on the front and rear anti-roll bar bushings and new shock absorbers, as well as tweaking power steering components and parameters.
