There are records and records, some more relevant than others, and well, this one that we present to you below seems to be one of the first: the Triumph Tiger 1200 broke the Guinness Record for the longest distance traveled on a motorcycle in 24 hours individually.
It was done by the Spanish rider Iván Cervantes, five-time enduro world champion and ambassador of the British brand, who traveled more than 4,000 km on the high-speed circuit of the Nardò Technical Center, in Italy, demonstrating the reliability of British motorcycle mechanics.

The test was carried out on April 30, and was validated by Guinness World Records judge Víctor Fenes. The veedor certified on the ground a final distance of 4,012.53 km, the equivalent of traveling by road between the cities of Santiago, Chile, and Brasilia, Brazil, at an average speed of 167.79 km/h.
Cervantes surpassed the previous world record of 3,406 km after just 19 hours completed. The Spaniard added 606 km in the remaining 5 hours. The only assistance in the pits that the Tiger 1200 GT Explorer required was a tire change, planned around the middle of the attempt. There were another 17 stops to refuel, with a consumption of 520 liters of gasoline.

“The Tiger 1200 GT Explorer was the perfect bike for this record attack. It is very comfortable to ride for many hours straight. The hardest thing of all was, without a doubt, the weather, because it started to rain, but this bike has a very large screen and it offers excellent protection, and that helped me a lot”
-Iván Cervantes, Triumph ambassador rider
Cervantes has been an off-road ambassador for the British brand since July 2021, and is actively collaborating in the development of Triumph’s future range of motocross and enduro bikes.
