We went with Suzuki to deliver 5.5 tons of food from Liters x kilos 2023

A week ago we participated in the seventh edition of Litros X Kilos, Suzuki’s solidarity consumer test. At the wheel of a Suzuki Vitara 1.5 Strong Hybrid, together with Máximo Sant from Airtight Garage, reduce consumption from 5.8 l/100 km to a paltry 3.8 liters. Yes, we save more than anyone.

They are not real conditions of use of a car (due to speeds and accelerations), but it shows that a hybrid SUV can achieve very low consumption as soon as you understand the operation of these motors that do not need to be plugged in but do have a little electrical help and they can move the car by themselves. Also, in this case, the brand donated a kilo of food to the Fundación Banco de Alimentos de Madrid for every liter saved, you had to take care.

Between the savings achieved by motoring journalists and with the participation of followers of the brand on social networks, 5.5 tons were reached. A whole record. Nothing less than 3,660 kilos of staple food by saving fuel and 1,768 of the likes on Social Networks during the event.

On Wednesday we went, along with the rest of the winners (Fernando Carrión and Julián Corrales who were driving an S-Cross) to donate these five and a half tons of food to the facilities of the Fundación Banco de Alimentos de Madrid in Tres Cantos. The event was chaired by Gema Escrivá de Romaní, General Director of the Madrid Food Bank Foundation, and executives of the brand attended.
