What is an Asset Management Company (VMS)? How does it work?

Asset Management Companies (VYŞ) are companies in which the receivables that are in the hands of financial institutions but which are overdue are transferred and collected after restructuring. Due to economic crises and various reasons, financial institutions, especially banks, have difficulties in converting their receivables into cash and cannot collect them. In such cases, Asset management companies step in and take over their overdue receivables, restructure them and try to collect them.

All of the business and operations of Asset Management companies are supervised and controlled by the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BRSA), and all of their activities are regulated by the BBDK.

According to the information published on the BRSA's website, there are 19 asset management companies registered as of 2020. How to contact Asset Management Companies? In cases where banks and financial institutions are unable to collect their receivables due to various reasons, a tender is opened for the Asset Management Companies for the said receivables and the Asset Management Companies that have won the tender will knock on the debtor's door and request the collection of the receivables.
