Barcelona is the setting in which the plot of the new series of Netflix ‘Iron hand’. The platform has announced that filming has already begun in different locations in Barcelona, Lleida or Girona. The cast is made up of renowned names in the audiovisual scene such as Chino Darín (‘El Reino’), Jaime Lorente (‘The Money Heist’), Natalia de Molina (‘Easy’), Sergi López (‘Mediterranean’), Enric Auquer (‘Perfect Life’) and Eduard Fernández (’30 coins’).
Created and directed by Lluis Quílez, The series takes place in the seaport of Barcelona, which receives around 6,000 containers of goods every day.. They come from all over the world and in one year they hide more than 30,000 kilos of cocaine, making Barcelona one of the most important gateways in Europe for drug trafficking.
There we find Joaquín Manchado, the owner of the main port terminal and who anyone who wants to introduce an illegal cargo has to go through. His collaboration and that of the criminal network that surrounds him is key to any illegal shipment that passes through there. In that context, an unexpected accident and the disappearance of an important shipment of cocaine will unleash a ruthless war plagued with murder and revenge.
