One of the most desired models of the English brand has just announced a deep update, and when we say deep it is literal, since the exterior changes are not that significant, but in the depths of the Velar we can find several new things.

This multimedia system receives a new version of Land Rover Pivi Pro softwarecompatible with wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, wireless software updates and Amazon Alexa-based voice command.
On the sides of the huge screen we have shortcuts to the most frequently used settings in the vehicle such as climate control, volume and all that used to be buttons.
Continuing in the cabin, the entire center console and dash have been redesigned to accommodate this new display. Beyond the controversy due to the absence of physical commands, the truth is that the English achieved a quite nice clean and minimalist look. A striking feature of the Velar is a new optional air purification system that can monitor and clean the air in the cabin.
The most classic for this segment is the leather upholstery, however a non-leather interior option is available which uses a combination of wool and polyurethane textile inserts with a new perforation pattern. But if you prefer leather, Land Rover adds three new colors with Cloud, Raven Blue and Deep Garnet.

It was no joke that the changes are profound. In its mechanics, the Velar 2024 also changes and ahour offers in its P250 version a new eight-speed automatic transmission which, according to the brand, has smoother shifts than the previous transmission. This box is parented to the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, which produces 247 HP and 269 pound-feet of torque.
The 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six hybrid powertrain introduced a couple of years ago continues the same 395 HP and 405 pound-feet of torquebut the lower powered version (335 HP) of this same powertrain is dropped from the range.
The new 2024 Range Rover Velar is available in Europe at prices ranging from USD 62,775 to USD 79,675. The date of arrival on our continent has not yet been confirmed, nor what versions it will offer.
