Peugeot TotalEnergies will debut at Sebring with the PEUGEOT 9X8

The competition division of the French firm has been working on the development and tuning of its Peugeot 9X8 for a long time. with the firm objective of providing the best battles within the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC). Well, the moment of truth has arrived for the team, which, by the way, accumulated more than 10,000 kilometers during the tests carried out last year.

As Jean-Marc Finot, SVP of Stellantis Motorsport, anticipates, this event brings a lot of confidence to the team:

“We have covered many kilometers to improve the performance of the car and validate its reliability. We really want to start this season and the team is ready to fight. We are very proud to be part of the championship and to take on the biggest manufacturers and names in endurance racing.”

Sebring will be like the last big test for both the team’s drivers, as for the Peugeot 9X8 prior to the 24 hours of Le Mans. Olivier Jansonnie, technical director of Peugeot Sport, confirms that it is a good opportunity to optimize the set-up of the car:

“Starting the season in Florida right after winter is a great opportunity. This trough-filled track is very demanding on the suspension system and transmission. Although the race is shorter, running Sebring without a problem is one of the keys to face the 24 Hours of Le Mans”.

The Peugeot TotalEnergies team will be made up of the drivers Paul Di Resta, Mikkel Jensen and Jean-Eric Vergne at the wheel of the PEUGEOT #93, while Loïc Duval, Gustavo Menezes and Nico Müller in the PEUGEOT #94.
