“You’re starting to understand that it’s a sect and that Astrid is half cu-cu”

Who has not ever dreamed of going to live on a deserted island?Yes, with all the comforts. The problem is that you have to be careful what you wish for because what happened to the protagonists of ‘Welcome to Eden’ in the first season and it is that that party in paradise that a mysterious brand of drink promised them turns into the worst of their nightmares. Amaia Salamanca, Guillermo Pfening, Amaia Aberasturi, Lola Rodríguez, Tommy Aguilera, Berta Castañé, Belinda Peregrín resume their characters to answer the unknowns that the series left open.

‘Welcome to Eden’ was a complete surprise and became an international success that swept 82 countries. The keys to this youthful thriller are a plot full of script twists, mysterious characters and a wide cast with familiar names like Amaia Salamanca or the Mexican singer Belinda Peregrín. We have been able to be with its main protagonists and they have given us their opinion on the second season.

Everyone insists that the series returns to the unknowns left by the end of the first season to solve a large part of them, but at the same time it opens up new mysteries that, who knows, may be answered in a third installment. There is nothing confirmed, nor official information from Netflix, but in all the interviews the “possible third season” comes up. We will have to wait and see if the new chapters repeat the phenomenon and if that is how it overcomes the barrier (imaginary, imaginary or not so much) of the two seasons.

“It is a series that continually surprises,” say Belinda Peregrín (África), Tommy Aguilera (Charly) and Lola Rodríguez (Mayka). The actress who gives life to Africa also hits the key and ensures that in the new chapters it becomes clear that the Foundation is a sect and that “Astrid (Amaia Salamanca) is half cu-cu”. His characters are part of Eden, that idyllic community created by Astrid (Salamanca) and Erik (Guillermo Pfening) on a deserted island with dark intentions.

paradise has turned into hell from which many members want to leave, something that is not easy as Charly and Zoa, the character of Amaia Aberasturi, know well. With no escape, her alternative is to finish off the leaders and to protect herself from the attacks against her and against Erik, Astrid makes the decision to militarize Eden. There a new character Joel enters, played by Colombian actor Carlos Torres (‘La reina del flow’) and that he is in charge of the army that tries to maintain security on the island, but even he has a weak point. “I love it because you see more action with this confrontation between the two worlds, that of the young and Astrid’s, and, in the middle of that, there is also romance, intimate scenes and suspense,” says Torres.

All these ingredients result in “a darker, more intense and creepier season”, as its protagonists describe it. In addition, Aberasturi points out that is an improvement over the first installment because it is an opportunity to include things that were previously missing. Your character Zoa was one of the newcomers to the island in the first installment and also one of those who has already tried to get out of there. In her in the new chapters she finds a new reason to escape from her after seeing her sister Gaby arrive on a new ship. Whether she succeeds or not is something else.
