He Virtus that we know in Mexico, has just released a new twin in China and it is that SAIC-Volkswagen has just presented the new Lavida XR 2024which is nothing more than a version highly adapted to the tastes of consumers in the Asian giant.
Aesthetically, it is almost identical to the Virtus. However, we can find some differentiators such as the grill, a lower air intake in the defense with a chrome insert, specific 16-inch wheels, as well as a market-specific color palette, where a turquoise tone stands out.

Inside doors, we have the same refrain and it is that the Lavida XR boasts minimal changes compared to the Virtus. Notable features include a standard 8-inch digital instrument cluster paired seamlessly with an 8-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system.
The Lavida XR offers specific upholstery options including turquoise, blue and gray inserts. The trunk space of the Lavida XR is 498 liters, slightly less than the 521 liters of the Virtus.
With a length of 4,561mm and a wheelbase of 2,651mm, the Lavida XR sits below the larger Lavida and Lavida Plus models. Like the VW Virtus, the Lavida XR is based on the MQB A0-IN architecture.

In the mechanical section, this sedan is powered by a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 108 and 104 lb-ft of torque. Power is transmitted to the front axle via a six-speed automatic gearbox.
Production of the VW Lavida XR has already started at the SAIC-VW joint venture plant in China.
