At the EICMA in Milan, the Aprilia ELECTRICAL Projecta concept that shows the mobility strategy for the youngest pilots of the future, a segment where the brand has always been a leading player.
“ELECTRICa is a new concept: a light motorcycle without emissions with a fun and satisfying ride to provide maximum freedom and driving pleasure, even for use in the cities of the future: the fun and freedom of driving, therefore, will not be missing”, indicates the Italian brand.
ELECTRICa uses all the know-how in electrification of the Piaggio Groupwhich has been working on electric propulsion since 1975, having introduced a long list of vehicles such as the MP3 Hybrid, the world’s first hybrid scooter.
With a naked style and a supermotard character, the aesthetic is very clearly Aprilia, especially at the front, where a modern interpretation of the triple headlight group typical of all Aprilia stands out, giving it part of its sporty character.
It has compact dimensions and a low seat height, light weight and the presence of both brake controls on the handlebars, an option that makes it easier to transition from scooters.
Although no technical details have been given, it is known that the electric motor will be positioned in the central area and drives a chain final drive. It will have keyless start, LCD instrument panel and brakes with ABS system.
Due to its dimensions and type of chassis, it looks like a medium-displacement motorcycle designed for the dual purpose of serving in the city and outside it.
