Until now, Google’s infotainment system on board a large number of cars, Android Auto. It was limited to only operating certain applications to make your trips more pleasant, comfortable and safe, but now this is changing.

Android Auto is evolving and now thanks to a new app it can open your garage door.
The app is developed by Tailwind, which sells controls for automatic gates. and it is operated by pressing a simple button within the application.
What are the functions that the app has?
The app is created to open automatic gates, but additionally it offers:
- It allows you to check the status of the door whether it is open or not. Let’s say you’re not sure if you already closed it on the way to work, the app helps you verify it.
- You can open or close the gate from far away (miles and miles away), you don’t need to be close to home. This is useful if you are already away from home or need to let someone in.
The app is completely free to purchase and does not require a subscriptionbut it is only available as part of a control kit that costs $79.99 USD in the United States. If you already have a Tailwind controller, the app is free on the Play Store.
