Pluggable and non-pluggable… These were the 10 hybrid models that Spaniards purchased the most in the last 12 months.
After reviewing which were the best-selling electrics in our country during 2022, it is time to do the same with the conventional and plug-in hybrids. This past year, more than 330,000 deliveries of alternative energy vehicles have been made, and close to 290,000 have been HEV (239,471) or PHEV (47,785.) In both cases, the manufacturer association (Anfac) has registered interesting growth, reaching 10.56% in the first and 9.14% in the second, compared to the figures for 2021. Let’s see then which are the top 10 best-selling hybrids in Spain in 2022…

The best-selling non-plug-in hybrids
The Toyota Corollawhich is also the fourth best-selling model of all those marketed in Spain, is the king among conventional hybrids with almost 17,000 units sold in the 12 months of 2022. It is followed by another Toyota, the C-HR, and the Fiat 500 microhybrid. Of course, the Japanese brand has as many models in the top 10 thanks to its efficient propulsion system and the fact of being the undisputed pioneer of this technology.

- Toyota C-HR: 15,987 units.
- Fiat 500: 13,568 units.
- Toyota Yaris Cross: 12,553 units.

- Renault Arkana: 10,405 units.

The best-selling plug-in hybrids
In the PHEV group things are even tighter. The leader of 2022 has been the Peugeot 3008 with 2,738 units delivered, which are nevertheless 34% less than those sold in 2021. Behind, with less than 40 units difference, is the new Lync and Co. 01. Closing the top 3 is the Ford Kuga, which It is the best-selling PHEV on the Old Continent if we take all European markets into account.
