Fernando Alonso is living a second youth with Aston Martin. He has two podium finishes in two races and is as fit as he was in his championship years with Renault, in 2005 and 2006. The whole of Spain is crazy with the possible 33rd victory of the Asturian pilot.
Antonio Lobato, in ‘La Ser’, has made the craziest comparison about Alonso in his years when his car wasn’t up to scratch: “I saw him as a cheetah with a splinter in his paw. He has speed in his DNA, but he can’t run because it hurts to walk
“Getting to F1 is tremendously difficult. But more difficult than getting there is staying. And staying 20 years is incredible. There has been a moment in between that success and the one we are experiencing now that has been very hard,” says the journalist.

And he even talks about the possibility of achieving the third championship dressed in green: “He has the opportunity to be champion again. It’s a very exciting dream. That’s why everyone is crazy.”
Alonso faces an important opportunity this weekend to be able to fight for the 33. Aston Martin will bring a fundamental upgrade to fight against the Red Bulls and if Fernando has an opportunity, he will take it without a doubt. On Sunday the long-awaited victory could arrive.
