There are many Chinese car brands that are landing in Europe lately and the vast majority fully enter the total electrification market knowing its enormous potential… One of them is W.M. Engine -or Weltmeister-, a manufacturer that specializes in 100% electric models and that, although it has less than a decade of life, comes with maturity to build a consistent and varied range.

The SUV EX5 will be the pioneer of WM Motor in Spain
Although its commercial network is still developing in our country, the brand is very clear with which vehicle it will debut. Its about WM Engine EX5, a compact SUV 4.59 meters long that will compete directly in the segment where we find rivals such as the Nissan Ariya, Tesla Model Y or Volkswagen ID.4. Its electric motor will offer 218 CV to move the front wheels with total ease. It will also be associated with a 52 kWh capacity battery to approve around 300 km of autonomy, a figure that is not yet confirmed by the WLTP cycle.

The client will be able to charge in alternating current at a maximum of 6.6 kW and in direct current up to 100 kW, so that to pass from 30 to 80% you will need only half an hour.
Inside, there are two large screens, one of 12.3 inches for the instrumentation and another vertical of up to 15.6 inches for infotainment, as well as a touch surface located in the central tunnel (between the two front seats) to manage everything related to air conditioning, opening and closing doors, etc. By the way, its trunk announces a volume of 488 liters.

We will see when and for how much this new WM Motor EX5 is officially on sale. It won’t take long, because the company’s idea is that soon after more models like the M7a saloon of almost 5 meters that will incorporate LiDAR sensors and that promises a range of about 700 km.
