Alpine is gradually showing his head. Less than what they said. Less than they thought. But,at a slow pace, they are coming. They are appearing by some classifications. They are letting themselves be noticed in the race. Yes, it does not give them to be second as they said, but they are making their way. And in Austria they already warn that they have something new.
That they have a good package that they are developing. That they are going to give Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly an upgrade for their car.
An aggressive. Risky. One that will be like the ones that they will be arriving little by little to the French car. That, at least, according to what Otmar Szafnauer has stated.
“We have something in development. Something else. For Austria. It will be a new front wing”, recounts the Romanian.
And it warns: “We are going to bring updates continuously. as soon as we find them. We’re not going to wait for a big package.”
“It’s what we’re doing. You’re going to see improvements, even more improvements, in other races,” reports Szafnauer.
In Austria it will be seen if yes or no. If what they carry is enough to close the gap or if not. What Romanian makes clear is one thing: “We’re going to take the risk.”
