Just a few days ago, spy photos of the tests that Peugeot was carrying out with the renewal of the 208 were released., a model unveiled globally in 2019. On that occasion, the photographed units were camouflaged, both in front and on their wheels and back, which did not allow us to clearly distinguish the changes that are coming to the hatchback. However, the doubt did not last long, since in the last few hours new photos of the renewed 208 were released, this time with nothing to cover the main sectors in which it received modifications.

The new photos also come from Europe. The one in front of the photographed unit leaves no doubt about the changes that the hatchback will have there:
- Redesigned grille with fascia scoop
- New Peugeot logo
- redesigned headlights
- The LED lights were replaced by a group of three strips
- New typeface for 208
As for the rear of the 208, the filtered photo fails to show the entire sector. Likewise, it reveals that it is the electric version of the model (like the one seen last week), in addition to some of the novelties that the renewal will have there:
- Skulls with modified interior design
- New typography the anagrams
- Lion logo is no longer between the medallion and the dark strip that joins the lights
In addition to what has been seen, the renewal of the 208 is expected to include modifications to the rear fascia, wheels and interior materials, as well as updates to its multimedia system.
Peugeot 208 2024: Launch and what is expected in South America
In addition to aesthetic and comfort modifications, the 208 offering in South America should be updated with the addition of the 1.0L Turbo (T200) engine from the FIAT Pulse. The T200, which would work with a seven-speed CVT automatic gearbox, delivers a power of 120 Hp, so it would improve the performance of the 208, which currently has the well-known 1.6L VTi and 115 CV.
There are still no certainties about the launch date of the renewal of the Peugeot 208, although the truth is that it should not be long. Quite possibly, it will first be revealed globally, and then it will arrive in our region.
