Aston Martin will assume the fine of Fernando Alonso’s 33rd victory in Formula 1

Aston Martin will assume the fine of Fernando Alonso’s 33rd victory in Formula 1

Before the Australian Grand Prixthe FIA announced the prohibition to the teams to get on the fences of the pit-lane in the celebrations of podiums and/or victories as a security measure.

The engineers of the teams will only be able to peek through the holes in the fences, but not climb to the top as has been done historically.

However, in Aston Martin they assume that if the victory 33 of Fernando Alonso in Formula 1 they cannot ensure that they will comply with the standard.

This is how he explained it Mike Krackhead of the Silverstone team, in statements to ‘GP Fans’.

Of course, what it ensures is that Alonso will not be in charge of paying it: “Fernando will not pay the fine if the team jumps, they climb the fences”.

“I think it’s something we have to respect if it’s a matter of pure security. So if that’s the rule, we’ll stick to it and if someone doesn’t, we’ll pay the fine“, added the Luxembourger.
