bittersweet farewell for the model

The arrival of the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera was a real event for the Gaydon firm. It was his consolidation in the Super GT segment with a specimen that was capable of captivating both for its design and its benefits. However, times change and it seems that they are going to have to let that model go. We understand that with the launch of the Aston Martin DBS 770 Ultimate, which is a celebration of the DBS name. It is also the most powerful production model they have ever made.

It seems that it will be one of the last to carry the 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 without any electrification. This is the most representative block they have, but the truth is that they had never been able to squeeze it to the limits reached by the DBS 770 Ultimate. Thanks to a series of modifications, it reaches the 770 hp and 900 Nm of torque, which are already 45 CV more than what the series delivers. The eight-speed ZF automatic transmission is maintained on a rear mechanical differential (LSD), also maintaining its benefits.

The Aston Martin DBS 770 Ultimate is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and reaches up to a top speed of 340 km/h. The most interesting in his changes that affect behavior would be a 7% increase in turbo pressure, tweaks to the steering to make it more precise or improvements to the adaptive damping system (ADS) to give you full control. The same is provided by the carbon-ceramic brake system, which has 410 mm front discs and maintains 360 mm rear ones.

The modifications extend outside the chassis and also reach the aesthetic section. The most striking at this point would be the new front splitter, a spectacular horseshoe-shaped vent and a more prominent rear diffuser. With these details it is possible to improve the cooling of the engine and also the aerodynamics of the DBS 770 Ultimate. There are a good number of carbon fiber components on all four sides, as well as some new 21 inch wheelsavailable in several different finishes, always fitted with Pirelli P Zero tyres.

In it inside It opts for a very complete configuration with Sports Plus seats upholstered in full semi-aniline leather and Alcantara, as well as contrasting details and stitching. As usual in the brand, this model can be configured with almost infinite variables thanks to the Q by Aston Martin program. Although the truth is that there will be few lucky ones who will be able to configure it, since the order book is already closed.

Also, the Aston Martin DBS 770 Ultimate is limited to 499 units, divided between 300 Coupes and 199 Flyers. As we say, all of them are sold before their launch and the first units They will arrive during the third quarter of 2023.
