Bridgestone introduces new DriveGuard Plus, Turanza 6 and Firehawk AS V2

With a view to sustainability by 2030, Bridgestone continues on the path of the total renewal of its range of products. In this sense, Mexico, as one of its main markets and headquarters of one of its manufacturing plants, receives three new tires, two manufactured at the Cuernavaca Plant, Mor. and another one of import.


Bridgestone DriveGuard Plus


This tire is manufactured at the Cuernavaca Plant, it has been optimized in its tread which results in better grip in both dry and wet conditions. It will be available in 8 sizes and will be compatible with vehicles equipped with TPMS systems (tire pressure monitoring.



Bridgestone Turanza 6


This is a premium cut tire that, unlike its previous version, has been optimized to improve braking in wet and dry conditions. It will be fitted as standard in premium, touring, SUVs, hybrid and electric vehicles. Turanza 6 will be available in sizes from 17 to 22 inches, while by 2025, Bridgeston will also begin manufacturing at the Cuernavaca Plant.



Firestone Firehawk AS V2


It is a new tire developed and inspired by competition. Its high performance technology and excellent braking capabilities in rain have been proven in Indy Cars.


It has been created to improve dry grip, provide great durability; it will be available for compact vehicles, SUVs and sports cars; it will also be produced at the Cuernavaca Plant.



Firestone FD694


Bridgestone also introduced innovations for cargo vehicles. It is the new FD694. A tire model that completes the catalog of options for trucks. It has improvements in traction, with an optimized tread pattern, wider grooves for the displacement of water, as well as stone ejectors; all of the above designed for its long duration.



As I mentioned, Bridgestone will have 138 products this year, while 130 are in the process of being renewed. What comes for the brand will be the new ones:


  • Duravis Van: tires designed for delivery vehicles
  • Turanza EV: tires specially designed for hybrid and electric cars.
