Buick it is a highly respected brand in China, where it is considered a rival to the usual three premium brands. For this reason, many of the brand’s novelties have the Asian nation as their scoop. Therefore, we should not be surprised by the fact that the Chinese patent office has been in charge of filtering the New 2024 Buick Envision.
The Envision S is pretty much the same model as the Envision sold in North America (and Mexico), and is offered alongside the larger Buick Envision Plus which also received a facelift in China. So it is almost a given that the model sold in this part of the world adopts this redesign, after all, we must not forget that it is imported directly from China.
Right in terms of exterior design, the Envision S, presents the new language of “pure design” from Buick, which has been extended in models such as Electra E5 and Given. Thus, we have thinner headlights and the already characteristic grill placed in the lower part. In general, the aesthetic looks more aggressive and less “domestic”.
On the rear of the Envision S we have some updates, although they are more subtle than those on the front. Thus we have simplified skulls and the new Buick logo. Additionally, the fascia has been revised to now feature lower-placed dummy tailpipes and a simpler overall design.
Inside, Buick is expected to be preparing to revamp the interior, though no photos have been released yet. However, based on the automaker’s recent design language, the updated model may feature a new dash with a curved Buick Virtual Cockpit display.
Beneath the chest, the documents reveal that the Envision S engine will continue to displace 2.0 liters. However, the four-cylinder is now rated at 227 hp (169 kW/230 PS), seven less than it currently has in China.
The new 2024 Buick Envision is expected to arrive in North America at the end of this year or during the first quarter of 2024. So, it is only time for this SUV to be available in our country.
