Citroën lands in the segment of cheap electric cars with the e-C3, which will be sold from 2024 for less than 25,000 euros.
Citroën, through its brand general manager, Thierry Koskas, has confirmed that it will launch a new affordable electric vehicle on the market in 2024. It is the e-C3, a utility with a crossover look, which will cost less than 25,000 euros.
Speaking to Bloomberg, Citroën’s CEO has revealed that the company will introduce the €25,000 e-C3 to the European market in 2024, offering middle-class families a choice of electric vehicle. The new e-C3 will be manufactured in Slovakiaunlike other affordable options from other competitors that come mostly from China.

“Citroën has a history of making affordable cars and your role now is to make electric mobility accessible to all. Today there is no equivalent car”, explained Koskas.
Based on what little is known, the new e-C3 will have capacity for five occupantsa reasonable trunk and quite complete comfort and safety equipment.
The autonomy will be around 300 kilometerswhich positions it as an ideal vehicle for day to day, although not for long journeys.
Currently, a Citroën e-C3 is already sold in some markets, like the South American or the Indian. There, this electric C3 has an electric motor that develops 42.5 kW (57 hp) and 143 Nm of torque. This allows it to go from 0 to 60 km/h in 6.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 107 km/h. Its lithium-ion battery has a capacity of 29.2 kWh, which gives it a range of 320 km with each charge.

Nevertheless, the European variant will have more power (There is talk of two variants of 82 and 109 CV) and some variant is contemplated with batteries of up to 50 kWh, which will allow it to reach 400 km of autonomy.
