Congress police increased security measures in the building after intelligence

In America, after intelligence that the extremist militia group could raid the Congress building at any time, police tightened security measures in the building. Threats to the Congress building have been continuing in the United States since January 6. The US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Department of Homeland Security have warned that the extremist militia group known as "3 Percent" may raid the Congress building. After the intelligence, the police increased the security measures in the building, saying, "On Thursday, March 4th, we obtained intelligence showing the possibility of raid on the Capitol by an identified militia group. The police did not share any further information about the possible threat, stating that they took the intelligence seriously. In the statement made by the Washington DC police, it was stated that the information and intelligence about March 4 were aware and that all law enforcement officers continued to work.

NO EVIDENCE THAT MILITARY GROUPS COME TO THE CAPITAL

Officials noted that even if security measures were increased in Congress, raids on Congress were unlikely, with no evidence that this went beyond conversation between members. Officials said there was no sign of militia group members coming to the capital after speeches to Congress.

THREATS TO CONGRESS MEMBERS INCREASED

In his statement, Deputy Chief of the Congress Police Chief Yogananda Pittman stated that the threats received by Congress members increased by more than 93 percent in the first two months of 2021 compared to the same period last year. In the US, QAnon conspiracy theorists believe that former US President Donald Trump will take over the presidency again on March 4. In America, between 1793 and 1933, their president took an oath on March 4 instead of January 20.
