the dutch company Stratos Yachts has presented its first model of yacht that arrives to revolutionize the nautical sector, the Dutch Built 50. The vision of this company is to elevate the boating experience to a new dimension by addressing the market gap of rugged boats with supreme seaworthiness.
Created by bas lengers –the pioneer behind the brand that has 40 years of international nautical experience– and designed by Bernd Weelthis model can be described as the SUV of the seaready to tackle the toughest conditions with the utmost ease while offering the most utility and style.
Elegant yet sporty, robust yet luxurious – this is the Dutch Built 50. This model of 15 meters in length It features an exceptionally tough carbon hardtop to navigate the wildest weather conditions with ease, a piece that took over a year of research and work to build. In combination with the forward-sloping pilot windows it provides high-level visibility and absolute safety when traversing the water, even at high speeds. To make the boat as robust and strong as possible a special grille has been designed, which is rare on a yacht of this size. The hull is built with extra dense high-end composite materials, with its structure created with lightweight carbon. As a result, the center of gravity is low, which provides great stability. All this has made this model obtain a class A CE ratingwhich means that it can handle hurricane force winds and waves of more than 4 meters.
To delight customers, this yacht can be customized from the exterior, choosing from a wide selection of colors and even adding a hydraulic submersible swim platform, to the interior, which offers three different color schemes: Graphite, Serene and Zen.
The interior, which can accommodate up to four people, offers high quality materials and the most advanced technologies. Also noteworthy are the ergonomic driver’s seats with shock absorption.
The propulsion system it uses are two VOLVO Penta D6 IPS800 engines that allow it to reach a cruising speed of 32 knots and a top speed of 36 knots with a range of up to 450 nautical miles.
The company will build a limited number of yachts each year to ensure quality standards. What they have not revealed is what its starting price will be, but given its cheap characteristics it will not be.
