We just told you about the reappearance of the Toyota C-HR, a Crossover that was sold in Mexico a few years ago and which is currently preparing its return as an EV. In this regard, Toyota has only “come out” to declare that indeed, the C-HR range will be made up of hybrid and plug-in hybrid variants, however, colleagues at CarsCoops in Europe have confirmed that an all-electric version will make its way to Toyota’s ranks.
Obviously, the captured unit, totally camouflaged, allows practically nothing to be seen, however, the silhouette does not know how to lie so well about the type of bodywork and, above all, motorization, since the sound of the moving vehicle is null; yes indeed, everything seems to indicate that the design of the rear part would be the most “dramatic”:
- The chest is very bulky and streamlined
- Being electric, you can afford to use totally enclosed camo (without many air inlets)
- It is perceived in general, of medium height, although the hip is quite high and hatchback type cut
- At first glance, it does not appear that it has a rear LED strip joining both skulls.
- There is an upper spoiler that gives continuity to the awning above the rear glass
- The wheels could be 18”.
Although CarsCoops was unable to obtain a clear photo of the cabin, they argue that The upcoming SUV could have two screens, a differentiator from high-end models They usually employ a large one but actually operate independently.
On the more technical aspects, Toyota has not made anything official, but we could take as a reference the C-HR EV that is sold in China whose autonomy is 400 kilometersor, the Toyota bZ4X with 516 kilometers of range and a 201 Hp (150 kW) engine.
It is likely that the Toyota C-HR EV will be produced at the Toyota Turkey plant, the same headquarters of the current model, while throughout 2023 the brand will make the arrival of this version official.
