Charles Leclerc is going to have nightmares with the walls of Miami. The Monegasque threw to the ground the possibility of fighting for the ‘pole position’ in thethe Miami Grand Prix by crashing on his last attempt in Q3.

On his second attempt, aware that Max Verstappen had not marked a timetook a risk to try to correct his mistake and take pole position, but in turn 6 he was too aggressive when attacking a curb and lost control of the car, crashing into the protections. That caused the Red flagthat in the absence of a minute and a half marked the end of the classification.

A tracing of the accident on Friday

Charles Leclerc already knew what it was like to crash in turn 6 of the Miami circuit. It happened just 24 hours before, in the second free practice session.

The two accidents were very similar, both losing the rear of the car at the same point on the circuit, and both with the same consequence: the end of the session for Leclerc. After failing to improve the time of his first attempt, the Monegasque will start seventh in Sunday’s race.
