As is often the case with small brand vehicles, the birth and development of the Lotec C1000 was quite curious. It was born when an oil magnate from the United Arab Emirates contacted Lotec, then known for building Group 6 and Group C racing cars, and asked me to build him the fastest car in the world: that’s where the Lotec C1000 came from.
And how to achieve the fastest vehicle on the planet? The recipe, almost always, is composed of combine lightness and a lot of power. Thus, Lotec used for the C1000 a carbon fiber chassis that was completed with lightweight carbon fiber body panels that together barely declared a weight of 1,080 kg.
At the same time, this supercar rode a 5.6 liter V8 engine sourced from Mercedes-Benz but equipped with a pair of Garrett turbochargers. The car had 1,000bhp of power, which was sent to the rear wheels via a five-speed Hewland racing transmission.
With all this together, the Lotec C1000 is capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 3.2 seconds0-200 km/h in 8 seconds and reach a top speed of 341 km/h.

Now, as we say, the only copy manufactured is for sale by the Curated dealer with just 4,145 km to his credit. Its original price, in 1991, was around 3.3 million euroswith a cost currently that can be placed at 7 million euros, a rate within the reach of very few.
